Crumbs Cafe
Thesis Project
Crumbs Café is a thesis project exploring how branding and community spaces can make faith feel more approachable to a younger generation. The concept was developed in response to the growing decrease in Christian affiliation among Gen Z and Millennials, particularly for individuals who may have never experienced faith or have had negative experiences with religion in the past.
Crumbs Café is designed to function as a café during the day and transform into a welcoming space for scheduled Bible studies, discussions, and guest speakers in the evening. The goal is to create an environment where people can explore Christianity at their own pace, ask questions, build community, and reconnect with faith without feeling judged or pressured.
The visual identity intentionally moves away from the traditional visual language often associated with religious organizations. The brand uses a fun, colourful aesthetic paired with clean sans-serif typefaces to create a modern identity that feels relevant and inviting to Gen Z and Millennials. The colour palette draws inspiration from God’s light and heaven, creating a bright and uplifting atmosphere throughout the brand.
At its core, Crumbs Café is about creating a place where people can come as they are. Whether they are curious about faith, searching for something meaningful, or simply looking for a welcoming community.
